General availability (GA) in AI video notes
General availability, often shortened to GA, marks a model as stable and supported for production use, after a preview. As of 2026-09-25.
The same model can reach general availability on different days on different services from one maker. Veo 3 was generally available on Vertex AI on 29 July 2025 and in the Gemini API on 9 September 2025; Veo 3.1 was generally available on Vertex AI in November 2025.
Gemini Omni's general availability in August 2026 came with a new version number, 1.1 Flash, and new capabilities, which is common: the GA release is not always the preview with the label changed.
