Which AI video models plan several shots in one clip?
Amazon's Nova Reel 1.1 made multi-shot videos from April 2025, joining 6-second shots. Wan 2.6 planned several shots inside one 15-second generation in December 2025, and Wan 2.7 names rhythmic cuts. Kling added a multi-shot canvas in January 2026, an intelligent shot type in March and set frames for multi-shot videos in May. As of 2026-09-25.

Until late 2025, a clip in these notes is one shot, with one exception: Nova Reel 1.1 joins separate 6-second shots, written from one prompt or one prompt per shot, into a video of up to two minutes. Otherwise the camera may move, but it does not cut. Planning several shots inside one generation changes what a single clip can hold, from a moving shot to a small scene with coverage.
Wan 2.6's note describes shot scheduling that keeps subjects, scenes and atmosphere consistent across the shots, within a 15-second clip. Kling's route runs through its Canvas Agent, whose January 2026 note mentions smart multi-shot and multi-angle expansion, then through the API: setting shot_type to intelligence lets 3.0 Omni plan the shots itself.
The notes say little about how many shots fit or how cuts are placed. Kling's May 2026 note removed one limit, the mutual exclusion between multi-shot and set first and last frames.
