1What the notes say

xAI's API release notes say little about video, and say it plainly. Video generation opened on 28 January 2026, the Batch API took video jobs from 15 March, and grok-imagine-video-1.5 added reference-to-video with preset voices and native 1080p on 31 July 2026. Runway's changelog records the 1.5 model reaching its MCP thirteen days later, at 1 to 15 seconds with audio.
