Which AI video models add HDR or higher frame rates?

Luma's Ray3 generated native HDR in EXR files from September 2025. LTX added an SDR-to-HDR endpoint in April 2026 and Runway its Ruby model for HDR in August. Frame rate arrives later: an fps setting for LTX audio-to-video, 48 fps on LTX-2.5 Pro, and Runway's conversion to rates up to 120 fps in September 2026. As of 2026-09-25.

HDR and frame rate are finishing concerns, the kind a studio asks about before footage goes into a grade or onto a broadcast timeline. They appear late in the register and from few makers, which says as much about who the notes are written for as about the models.

The notes mix generation and conversion. Ray3 renders HDR itself; LTX's endpoint and Runway's Ruby convert SDR footage, including footage from other models. Runway's frame-rate tool likewise converts any video, Runway-made or not.

Runway's August 2026 export note is related: Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2 outputs can leave as ProRes 4444 or PNG sequences rather than compressed MP4.
