The model launched in Amazon Bedrock on 3 December 2024 for short videos from text and images; Nova Reel 1.1 on 7 April 2025 improved 6-second shots and added multi-shot videos of up to two minutes, in an automated mode from one prompt or a manual storyboard mode with a prompt per shot.
