Alibaba Cloud's Model Studio lists each Wan release by model name and date, which makes Wan the third-longest line here. Wan 2.1 arrived in January 2025, Wan 2.2 in July, a Wan 2.5 preview with synchronised audio and 10-second clips in September, Wan 2.6 with multi-shot planning and 15-second clips in December, Wan 2.7 in April 2026 and Wan 3.0 with clips up to 30 seconds on 6 August 2026. Runway and Higgsfield both announced Wan 3.0 on 24 August.
