1What the notes say

Google's notes for Veo come from two changelogs, the Gemini API's and Vertex AI's release notes, and the same change often lands on the two surfaces on different days, so each is listed on its own. The fifteen entries run from Veo 2 becoming generally available in the Gemini API on 9 April 2025 to Veo 3.1 Lite reaching Vertex AI in April 2026. The large steps are sound with Veo 3 in July 2025; extension, three reference images and first-and-last frames with Veo 3.1 in October 2025; and 4K output in January 2026.
